I came across this Arenanet Art Test awhile ago, and though it's no longer open, I liked the character and wanted to try my hand at producing a 3D model off it. The restrictions were 7500 tris, and 2048x2048 texture maps. My model came in at 7497 tris, I ended up using Diffuse, Normal, Alpha, Spec, and Gloss. The shots were captured in Marmoset.
My entry for a Game Artisans mini challenge. We were given a base model to go off of (that we couldn't alter sans UVs) but could add some 600 more tris, totaling at 1500 for everything (not including the base, but his sack is included).
